Denzel Washington directed and stars in this adaptation of August Wilson’s Pulitzer Prize-winning drama. Set in the 1950’s, an African-American father struggles with the pressure of raising his family during the social and political tensions of the day. Washington and Viola Davis reprise their stage roles from the 2010 Tony Award-winning revival of the play, which Washington also directed.
