Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning

The weirdest and most divisive entry, A NEW BEGINNING is the middle chapter in the “Tommy Jarvis” trilogy. After young Tommy kills Jason Voorhees once and for all in THE FINAL CHAPTER, he is sent to a mental institution to rehabilitate from the trauma. After several years, a now adult Tommy finds himself in a halfway house where one of the residents is killed. Has Jason returned from the grave? Can the traumatized Tommy be trusted? The fifth entry of this slasher franchise is a whodunit mystery that boasts one of the highest body counts in the series' history and some of the campiest performances. Rated R.
