Noroi: The Curse

This mid 2000’s found footage J-Horror is an analog nightmare fueled by urban legends and the supernatural. Constructed in a mixed media documentary style, NOROI: THE CURSE tells the story of a paranormal researcher who vanishes while investigating an ancient demon. This Japanese riff on The Blair Witch Project relies on atmosphere over jump scares, and is best watched on the big screen — where there’s no escape. In Japanese with subtitles.
